Massive turnout at Indian Schools Board Elections in Oman

Muscat: Hundreds of parents flocked to polling stations across Oman early this morning, determined to cast their votes and shape the future of over 46,000 students enrolled in 21 Indian Schools.

Krishnendhu S., Lead Instructor, National Training Institute LLC

Nidheesh Kumar PP, Credit Controller, Dhofar Foods and Investment SAOG

Prabakaran Krishnamoorthy, Assistant Manager, Bahwan Engineering Co LLC

Dr. Saji Uthuppan, Senior Lecturer of English, Oman College of Health Sciences

Syed Ahmad Salman, Head – Trade & Marketing, International Foods & Beverages Co.

Vijaya Saravanan Sankaran, Manager – IT Infrastructure, Bank Muscat

Election officials opened the polls at 8 am, welcoming parents eager to have a say in electing the Board of Directors that will govern the 21 schools. This year, eight candidates are vying for five crucial seats—a result that will influence policy-making, resource allocation, and strategic growth for the sprawling network of Indian Schools.

The polls are scheduled to close at 5 pm, although anyone already in line by that deadline will be permitted to complete the voting process.
