Warner Bros has pressed pause on its London production of the upcoming Batman movie after star Robert Pattinson is said to have tested positive for COVID-19.
Warner Bros. would not comment on any individual worker’s health, sharing only this statement: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”
The production previously shut down, along with most other entertainment industry work, back in March when the quarantine lockdown first hit.
Filming on The Batman has resumed this week .The first trailer debuted in August at DC FanDome to strong reactions.
Matt Reeves is directing The Batman, which stars Pattinson as The Dark Knight, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham City DA Gil Colson.
The Batman is due out Oct. 1, 2021.
