7,007 people confirmed with COVID-19 on Nov. 11 in Kerala; 29 dead

COVID-19 has been confirmed for 7,007 people in Kerala on November 11.  Twenty-nine deaths have been confirmed as due to COVID-19.

The district-wise break-up was was Ernakulam 977, Thrissur 966, Kozhikode 830, Kollam 679, Kottayam 580, Malappuram 527, Alappuzha 521, Thiruvananthapuram 484, Palakkad 424, Kannur 264, Pathanamthitta 230, Idukki 225, Wayanad 159 and Kasaragod 141.

A total of 64,192 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 10.91. A total of 52,49,865 samples have so far been sent for testing, including routine samples, Airport Surveillance, Pooled Sentinel, CBNAT, Trunat, CLIA and Antigen Assay.

 

The people’s whose death was confirmed as due to COVIED-19 were Valsala Kumari (60) from Pappanamkode, Thiruvananthapuram, Sukumaran (72) from Nedumangad, Radhakrishnan Nair (56) from Mukola, Kanakam (65) from Mariapuram, Jagadeesan (72) from Chala and M. Mohanan (56) from Vallakkadavu

 

Shanthakumari (68), a native of Chengal, Yogiram Surugi (64) from Vellayambalam, Chakrapani (65) from Karankodu, Kollam, Sreekandan Nair (59) from Kilikollur, Sivadasan (63) from Manancherry, Alappuzha, AN Radhakrishnan Pillai (74) from Karakkad, Ajay Babu (64) from Pampady, Kottayam, Vinod Pappan (53) from Kottayam, Dasan (72) from Kottayam Anil K from Marangattupilly, Krishnan (53), Sulaiman (66) from Changanassery, Sudhamma (64) from Kodimatha, Saramma Varkiachan (69) from Ambalassery, Ernakulam, Gopalan (89) from Parlikad, Thrissur, Abdul Saleem (38) from Edassery, Muhammad Ali (38) from Mundur, Palakkad 65, Kali (85) from Parishangadi, Malappuram, Mohammad Haji (75) from Mongam, Hassan (68) from Farook, Kozhikode, Ramachandran (67) from Malapattam, Kannur, Alina (80) from Cheruvancheri, Haridas (59) from Anandashram, Kasargod, and Padmanabhan, 72, of Mulleriyawa. This brought the total death toll to 1,771. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.

Eighty-six of those diagnosed with the disease were from outside the State. The disease affected 52 health workers.

 

The test results of 7,252 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. There are currently 3,15,246 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,96,212 are under home / institutional quarantine and 19,034 in hospitals. A total of 2,028 people were admitted to hospitals.

 

There were 19 new hotspots and 13 areas have been excluded from the hotspot. With this, there were a total of 622 hotspots.
