Dubai: The weather across the UAE today promises to be slightly warm and humid, as per the daily forecast from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). As the day progresses, temperatures nationwide are anticipated to gradually rise, with skies predominantly sunny and partly cloudy at intervals.
In coastal areas, the maximum temperature is expected to soar to a sweltering 41°C. Internal regions will experience similar warmth, with temperature highs fluctuating between 37°C and 41°C. Notably, the highest temperature recorded yesterday reached a blistering 43.2°C in Jebel Dhanna (Al Dhafra) at 2:15 PM.
Currently, both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are experiencing comparable conditions, with temperatures climbing to around 27°C. Coastal regions may feel particularly muggy due to elevated humidity levels, especially during the afternoon hours, contributing to a palpable stickiness in the air.
Winds will remain light to moderate, initially blowing from the southeast before shifting to a northeast direction as night falls. These winds may occasionally intensify, stirring up fine dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, potentially escalating to 40 km/h over the sea by late evening. Meanwhile, the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will exhibit relatively calm conditions, described as slight for the day ahead.
