Riyadh: Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has arrived in Riyadh to lead the United Arab Emirates (UAE) delegation at the Gulf-US Summit, representing President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, Sheikh Khaled was welcomed by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, along with several senior Saudi officials.
Accompanying Sheikh Khaled is a high-level delegation, including Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
The Gulf-US Summit, taking place today in Riyadh, brings together leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and U.S. President Donald Trump. The summit aims to enhance Gulf cooperation and deepen the strategic partnership with the U.S., focusing on shared interests in regional security, stability, and sustainable development.
Key topics on the agenda include strengthening security cooperation, boosting economic partnerships in sectors like energy, technology, and trade, and exploring investment opportunities and joint ventures to drive economic growth in the region. Additionally, discussions will cover sustainable development initiatives, including renewable energy projects and environmental conservation efforts, as well as enhancing cultural and educational exchanges to foster mutual understanding and collaboration between the Gulf states and the U.S.
The summit is anticipated to result in several key agreements and joint statements that will outline the commitments of both the GCC leaders and the U.S. towards achieving a more secure and prosperous region. The discussions are further expected to pave the way for future collaborations and reinforce the longstanding partnership between the Gulf states and the United States.
