COVID-19 has been confirmed for 2,078 people in Kerala today. Outbreaks were reported in Kozhikode 321, Ernakulam 228, Thiruvananthapuram 200, Kollam 169, Thrissur 166, Kottayam 164, Kannur 159, Malappuram 146, Idukki 126, Kasaragod 119, Alappuzha 105, Palakkad 68, Pathanamthitta 62 and Wayanad 45.
No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 107 people from the UK (102), South Africa (4) and Brazil (1). Of these, 101 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.
During the last 24 hours, 58,777 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 3.54. Routine sample, Sentinel sample, CBNAT, TRUNAT, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 1,26,17,046 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.
Today, it has been confirmed that 15 deaths in the last few days are due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,482.

Kozhikode 302, Ernakulam 219, Thiruvananthapuram 149, Kollam 166, Thrissur 160, Kottayam 158, Kannur 124, Malappuram 142, Idukki 120, Kasaragod 107, Alappuzha 90, Palakkad 29, Pathanamthitta 54 and Wayanad 40 were affected by contact.
Five health workers were affected by the disease. Thiruvananthapuram 2, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kasaragod 1 each were affected by the disease.
The test results of 2,211 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 185, Kollam 140, Pathanamthitta 71, Alappuzha 242, Kottayam 358, Idukki 24, Ernakulam 128, Thrissur 248, Palakkad 76, Malappuram 221, Kozhikode 255, Wayanad 43, Kannur 112 and Kasaragod 108 were negative today. With this, 25,009 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment and 10,72,554 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.
There are currently 1,30,019 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,26,255 are under home / institutional quarantine and 3764 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 427 people were admitted to hospitals.
Today there are three new hotspots and 11 areas were excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 351 hotspots.
