Oman’s Ministry opens bids for Samail Fort management to boost tourism

Muscat: The initiative aims to enhance the fort’s presence on Oman’s tourism map while ensuring the sustainability of this significant cultural asset.

Interested companies must meet specific requirements, including submitting a detailed action plan, proof of prior experience, and proposals to create local job opportunities. The scope of work includes conducting a tourism and economic feasibility study, reimagining the use of the fort’s spaces, and integrating cultural activities to highlight its historical value.

Bidders must purchase a competition requirements booklet and submit proposals in sealed envelopes by 1:00 PM on February 6, 2025, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Al Khuwair or the Heritage and Tourism Department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
