Muscat : The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has signed a strategic agreement aimed at enhancing digital accessibility and inclusivity for persons with disabilities. The agreement, formalised at the CPA headquarters by the Communication and Digital Accessibility Team, is part of a broader initiative to foster an inclusive and technologically advanced work environment.
The primary objectives of the agreement include:
- Raising staff awareness about the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities
- Training employees in effective communication techniques, including sign language and other supportive tools
- Upgrading the CPA’s digital platforms, particularly its official website, to ensure they are more user-friendly and accessible to all individuals, regardless of ability
Additionally, the initiative will integrate smart technologies into the Authority’s operations to improve performance and enhance service delivery.
This collaboration aligns with the CPA’s wider commitment to institutional and technological innovation. By working closely with both public and private sector experts, the Authority seeks to elevate the quality, inclusivity, and efficiency of its services.
