MUSCAT : Organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the forum aimed to promote continuous focus on legal matters affecting the civil aviation community, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and share perspectives on key legal issues in the sector.
H.E. Eng. Naif bin Ali Al Abri, President of the Civil Aviation Authority, participated in a panel discussion focused on the role of legal advisers in supporting the work of civil aviation authorities, specifically in enhancing the safety and security of civil aviation. He highlighted the critical role legal professionals play in ensuring effective governance and compliance with international aviation standards.
During the forum, His Excellency held several key meetings, including discussions with Dr. Rannia Leontaridi, Director General of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, and representatives from NATS. These meetings served to strengthen international cooperation and explore new opportunities for collaboration in civil aviation.
The 3rd CALAF follows the successful hosting of the second edition in Oman in 2023, which saw the participation of over 63 countries and three international organizations.
