MUSCAT : Chaired by His Excellency Mahmoud bin Yahya Al Dhahli, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah and Chairman of the Municipal Council, the meeting brought together council members to review important community matters. The members approved the minutes of the previous meeting and discussed various citizens’ needs. Among the most prominent topics were plans to organize public councils that will strengthen national values and the Omani identity, as well as determine appropriate times for condolences and hospitality on public occasions in the governorate to balance tradition with modern social requirements.
Another highlight was the council’s focus on educational support, with discussions on the development of internal housing for the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
The meeting, held in Al Mudhaibi, also reviewed responses from relevant government agencies and provided an update on the ongoing development projects in the governorate for 2024. Plans for the upcoming year, under the 2025 development plan, were also outlined, marking a proactive approach to future growth and community well-being.
