Muscat: The road linking Muscat, Ad Dakhiliyah, Ad Dhahirah, and Al Buraimi governorates, stretching from the Burj Al Sahwa roundabout in Muscat to the Hafeet outlet in Al Buraimi, will bear the name Sultan Thuwaini bin Said. Similarly, the Al Sharqiyah Expressway, connecting Bidbid in Ad Dakhiliyah to the Souk signals in Sur, South Al Sharqiyah, will be named after Sultan Turki bin Said.
His Majesty’s royal orders extend further, with the Khasab-Lima-Daba road in Musandam Governorate, currently under construction, to be named after Sultan Faisal bin Turki. The Al Batinah Coastal Road, spanning Halban in South Al Batinah to Khatmat Malaha in North Al Batinah, will honor Sultan Taimur bin Faisal.
In addition, the Nizwa-Salalah road, connecting Nizwa in Ad Dakhiliyah to Salalah in Dhofar Governorate, will be renamed after Sultan Said bin Taimur, while the Muscat-Al Batinah road, linking Qurum in Muscat Governorate to the Khatmat Malaha outlet in North Al Batinah, will carry the name of Sultan Qaboos.
