The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the normalcy of human lives, and it has negatively impacted the entertainment industry too. Due to the financial crisis, Kollywood producers have urged top stars of the industry to reduce their remuneration. Amid these efforts to reduce the production cost, the producer councils have drawn the list of salaries heroines are charging for each movie.
The list has now leaked online, and it has shed light on the whopping salary heroines are charging.
According to the list, Nayanthara is the most expensive heroine in Kollywood, and she is apparently charging Rs 4 crores for each film. The actress is now awaiting the release of her new movie Mookkuthi Amman, directed by RJ Balaji. She is currently busy with the filming of the Malayalam movie ‘Nizhal’ which started rolling recently.
The second-highest-paid actress in Kollywood is Kajal Agarwal, who recently tied the knot with Mumbai based businessman Gautam Kitchlu, and she is charging Rs 2 crores per movie. Kajal’s upcoming movie is Indian 2, directed by Shankar.
Evergreen beauty Trisha Krishnan is charging Rs 1.50 crores for each movie, while Tamannaah Bhatia’s remuneration for a movie is also somewhere around Rs 1.50 crores.
Keerthy Suresh, who is a new sensation in Kollywood is charging Rs 80 crores per movie. According to the list, Shraddha Srinath is the most producer friendly actress, as she charges just Rs 10 lakh for a movie.
