6,102 confirmed with COVID-19 on Feb. 4

COVID-19 was confirmed for 6,102 people on February 4. The district-wise break-up of the number of infected are Ernakulam 833, Kozhikode 676, Kollam 651, Pathanamthitta 569, Alappuzha 559, Malappuram 489, Thrissur 481, Kottayam 450, Thiruvananthapuram 409, Kannur 289, Idukki 269, Palakkad 217, Wayanad 114 and Kasaragod 96.

COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 78 people from the UK recently. Of these, 60 tested negative. A total of 10 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.
A total of 98,56,074 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.
Seventeen deaths in the past few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,813. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.

Ninetynine of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 5,509 people were infected through contact. The contact source for 449 is not clear. Ernakulam 773, Kozhikode 648, Kollam 635, Pathanamthitta 517, Alappuzha 547, Malappuram 472, Thrissur 467, Kottayam 396, Thiruvananthapuram 287, Kannur 222, Idukki 250, Palakkad 113, Wayanad 101 and Kasaragod 81 were affected by the disease.

Forty-five health workers were affected. Health workers from Kannur 8, Idukki 7, Palakkad 6, Thrissur, Kozhikode 5, Kollam 4, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta 3 each, Ernakulam 2, Kottayam and Wayanad 1 each were affected.
The test results of 6,341 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 370, Kollam 347, Pathanamthitta 574, Alappuzha 312, Kottayam 829, Idukki 116, Ernakulam 911, Thrissur 439, Palakkad 289, Malappuram 724, Kozhikode 838, Wayanad 206, Kannur 240 and Kasaragod 146 tested negative today. With this, 68,857 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 8,77,889 people have so far been freed from COVID-19
There are currently 2,14,980 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,04,124 are under home / institutional quarantine and 10,856 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 1467 people were admitted to hospitals.
There are 18 new hotspots and two areas were excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 393 hotspots.
