COVID-19 was confirmed for 4,581 people in Kerala on November 15.
The district-wise break-up of the number of infected were Kozhikode 574, Malappuram 558, Alappuzha 496, Ernakulam 489, Thrissur 425, Palakkad 416, Kollam 341, Thiruvananthapuram 314, Kottayam 266, Kannur 203, Pathanamthitta 171, Idukki 165, Wayanad 101 and Kasaragod 62.
During the last 24 hours, 46,126 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 9.93. So far, a total of 54,72,967 samples have been sent for testing, including routine samples, Airport Surveillance, Pooled Sentinel, CBNAT, Trunat, CLIA and Antigen Assay.
Twenty-one deaths have been confirmed as being caused by COVID-19.

Appukuttan (79) from Amaravila., Omana (72) from Venganur, Sarojini (64) from Sreekaryam, Subhadra (82) from Nannattukavu, Vasantha (57) from Kunnathukal, Sobha (53) from Kodungallur, Thrissur, Thankappan (68) from Mulankunnathukavu, Anthony (87) Puthukkad, Bahab (78) from Koduvayur, Palakkad, Sasikala (67) from Kinnassery, Baburaj (59) from Valappad, Khadeeja (75) from Peringottukurisi, Subair (57) from Kuruva, Malappuram, Alavi Kutty (65) from Kuzhimana, Ibrahim (81) from Karuvambram, John (81) from Meenangadi, Wayanad, Mehmood (70) from Vengara, Kannur, Janaki Amma (80) from Pilathara, Zainab (66) from Thana and Hussain Kutty (74) from Kalyassery. This brought the total death toll to 1,869. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.
Eighty-five of those diagnosed with the disease were from outside Kerala and 3,920 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 527 was not clear.
Forty-nine health workers were affected by the disease.
The test results of 6,684 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. With this, 74,802 people have been diagnosed with the disease and were still undergoing treatment. A total of 4,48,207 have so far been freed from COVID.
There were currently 3,22,296 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,04,463 were under home / institutional quarantine and 17,833 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 1,963 people were admitted to hospitals.
There were 10 new hotspots and 13 areas have been excluded from the hotspot list. With this, there were a total of 606 hotspots.
