COVID-19 has been confirmed for 2,100 people in Kerala on March 7. The district-wise break-up of the infected are Kozhikode 315, Ernakulam 219, Thrissur 213, Malappuram 176, Thiruvananthapuram 175, Kollam 167, Kannur 158, Alappuzha 152, Kottayam 142, Pathanamthitta 115, Kasaragod 97, Palakkad 78, Wayanad 47 and Idukki 46.
COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. COVID-19has so far been confirmed by 99 people from the UK (98) and South Africa (1). Of these, 83 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.
A total of 51,948 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 4.04. A total of 1,18,92,875 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.
It has been confirmed that 13 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,300.
Sixty-one of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside Kerala and 1,771 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 253 is not clear. Kozhikode 308, Ernakulam 115, Thrissur 204, Malappuram 170, Thiruvananthapuram 116, Kollam 163, Kannur 108, Alappuzha 150, Kottayam 136, Pathanamthitta 101, Kasaragod 88, Palakkad 27, Wayanad 43 and Idukki 42 were affected by the disease.
Fifteen health workers were affected. Kannur 10, Palakkad 3, Idukki and Wayanad 1 each were affected by the disease.
The test results of 4,039 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 205, Kollam 344, Pathanamthitta 419, Alappuzha 283, Kottayam 238, Idukki 139, Ernakulam 784, Thrissur 462, Palakkad 103, Malappuram 286, Kozhikode 388, Wayanad 71, Kannur 195 and Kasaragod 122 had negative results. With this, 40,867 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,31,865 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.
There are currently 1,71,616 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,65,922 are under home / institutional quarantine and 5,694 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 656 people were admitted to hospitals.
There was no new hotspot on Sunday and no area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 356 hotspots.
