Dubai: Foggy weather conditions were reported over parts of Al Dhafra region in the UAE, this morning. The Met Office issued red and yellow alerts, warning that fog cover may drop visibility further over some western, internal and coastal areas until 10am.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) foggy weather conditions were reported over Al Sila Bridge and Ghweifat, Qareen Al Aish towards Al Sila, Ghiyathi, Tarfa, Ras Ghumais, and over Al Hamra regions in Al Dhafra.
The NCM also reported of foggy conditions over Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road in Al Hamriya Bridge and Um Al Ashtan regions.
Motorists have been urged to drive carefully due to fog formation causing deterioration in horizontal visibility.
The NCM said: “Visibility may drop even further at times over some western, internal and coastal areas, till 10am today, December 28.”
Temperature highs in the coastal areas of the country will be between 21 and 25 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, temperature lows are expected to be between 12 and 17 degree Celsius, over coastal and island areas.Light to moderate winds are to be expected with the speed reaching up to 30 km/hr in the coastal region.
