Abu Dhabi : In a significant humanitarian gesture, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the waiver of all fines related to residency visas and entry permits for Sudanese nationals residing in the country. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) stated that this exemption will be effective from May 19, 2025, and will continue until December 31, 2025 .
This decision comes in light of the exceptional circumstances currently facing Sudan and reflects the UAE’s longstanding commitment to supporting those in need, particularly during times of crisis. The ICP emphasized that the move aligns with national efforts to strengthen social and humanitarian well-being for UAE residents and embodies the country’s core values of compassion and generosity.
Sudanese nationals with outstanding fines are encouraged to regularize their status by submitting renewal applications through the ICP’s official digital platforms.
