UAE schools boast excellent results in ICSE, ISC exams

Students who took the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) Grade 10 and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Grade 12 exams in the UAE have scored top marks.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the annual examination results on July 10. The global pass percentage of Grade 10 students stood at 99.33 per cent and Grade 12 at 96.84 per cent, the CISCE announced.
Unlike CBSE, schools offering the CISCE curriculum in the UAE are few and far between. The GEMS Modern Academy, JSS International School and Ambassador School are the schools in Dubai boasting excellent results by its students.

Some of the CISCE exams, which are normally held in February and March every year, had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in late March. The pending exams were held in July and pupils in the UAE were given the option to take the remaining examinations at some point in July or opt to be graded on their internal school evaluations and pre-board examinations held prior to the board exams.
Keerthana Nair of JSS International School, is reportedly the UAE Grade 10 topper with 99.2 per cent; she scored 100 out of 100 in four subjects and 96 out of 100 in the fifth subject.

The school’s ISC Science topper is Gayathri Girish who scored 96.5 per cent and commerce topper is Gauri Parvathi with 96.25 per cent. At GEMS Modern Academy, ISC students Meghna Jain and Samrudhi Saju scored 99 per cent each. In addition, 62 per cent of students at the school achieved an average score of 90 per cent and above, compared to 48 per cent last year. In ICSE exams, the school’s pupils achieved a pass rate of 100 per cent and an impressive average of 91.62 per cent. The top performers are Vishnumaya Deepak Chandran and Mobina Khan scored 98.2 per cent.

In Ambassador School Dubai, the ISC school average was 89.78 per cent and the ICSE average was 90.72 per cent. The Grade 12 school topper is Ritika Ramesh Iyer with 98.75 per cent with centum scores in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Naher Bhasin who scored 97.25 per cent with a centum in Commerce came second.
The school ICSE topper Harsh Manghnani scored 98.4 per cent with centum in Computer Applications as well as History, Civics and Geography; Riya Sharma with 98 per cent and Kishore Suresh with 97.80 per cent bagged second and third positions.
