UAE : The UAE has launched a two-month amnesty program for visa violators, running from September 1 to October 31. The initiative, announced by the Ministry of Emiratization, offers visa violators the chance to regularize their status without facing fines.
During this period, individuals and organizations can apply for exemption from fines at designated Amnesty Centers. This includes those who have failed to submit employment contracts for work permit renewals and those overstaying their visas. The program also covers home-based entrepreneurs and private companies with labor complaints.
Overstayers are encouraged to contact Amnesty Centers to rectify their visa status and avoid legal action. They can either regularize their visa status or choose to leave the country without penalties. Applications can be submitted online via the ministry’s website and app, or at various business centers and service points set up for efficiency.
