As various emirates prepare for the 49th National Day celebrations, Sharjah will hold a grand concert at Al Majaz Amphitheatre on December 3. Emirati artist Hussain Al Jassmi will be the prime attraction at the event. He will be joined by young Emirati artists like Aryam, Jassim Mohamad, Faisal Al Jasim and Oraib.
Proceeds from the show will be used to help refugees and other needy communities around the world, organisers announced. Tickets for the concert are priced at Dh30, Dh50, Dh75 and Dh100. Proceeds will go to The Big Heart Foundation.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Head of the Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee, said stringent health protocols will be in place at the venue for the safety of visitors. The amphitheatre will function at just 50 per cent of its capacity.
All necessary health safety measures have been put in place to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
Holidays announced for government sector
The UAE’s 49th National Day and Commemoration Day holidays for federal entities and ministries will be from December 1 to 3, said a circular issued by the Federal Human Resources department. Work will resume on December 6.
