Sharjah Police Unveil Comprehensive Safety Plan for Eid Al Adha

Sharjah: In preparation for the upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations, Sharjah Police have launched an integrated safety and security plan aimed at ensuring public well-being and smooth traffic operations during the holiday period.

Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director of Operations and Security Support, announced that the plan has been developed in collaboration with various departments to create a safe, seamless, and enjoyable festive environment for all residents and visitors.

Key measures under the plan include the deployment of additional police and traffic patrols around mosques and designated prayer areas, active road monitoring via the central operations room to maintain smooth traffic flow, and the allocation of rapid response teams to deal promptly with emergencies or disturbances.

Brig Gen Al Naour also issued a strong warning regarding the use of fireworks, particularly highlighting the risks to children. Authorities will intensify inspections of stores and public areas to prevent the illegal sale and use of fireworks, which can lead to serious injuries and accidents.

“These steps are part of our commitment to safeguarding the public and ensuring everyone can celebrate Eid Al Adha in a safe and secure atmosphere,” he said, urging community members to adhere to safety regulations and cooperate with law enforcement.

The safety measures will remain in effect throughout the Eid holidays. Brig Gen Al Naour also encouraged residents to take advantage of Sharjah’s diverse tourist attractions and natural landscapes while observing public safety guidelines.

He concluded by reminding the public to dial 999 for emergencies and 901 for general, non-urgent inquiries.
