Royal Cars Museum to be a source of inspiration: His Majesty Sultan Haitham

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik said that the new Royal Cars Museum at Al Barakah Palace will be an attractive destination for car lovers.

Upon the Royal directives of His Majesty the Sultan, the museum will be open to members of the public with the aim of highlighting the luxury symbolized in the vehicles, their diversity and the Royal attention accorded to them over the past decades, so that they could serve as a source of inspiration and attraction for enthusiasts. The museum houses a broad collection of classic and rare vehicles and sports cars.
In a statement issued through a special supplement published by the Royal Court Affairs (RCA) on the occasion of the official opening of the museum, His Majesty said: “Today, we are pleased to open the doors of the Royal Cars Museum at Al Barakah Palace, as we are keen to provide an opportunity for citizens and those interested in the world of cars to visit this museum and see its exhibits.
”The late Sultan Qaboos bin Said established this museum, laying its foundations. We sought to continue the same approach in preserving its assets and contents, and providing it with what is consistent with its message, so that it would be an attractive destination that attracts car lovers and everyone passionate about this field,” His Majesty said.

‎”We hope that this museum will add to the Omani cultural and civilizational scene, hoping that the efforts of those in charge will be crowned with success and guidance in order to achieve its vision and goals. And God is the Grantor of success,” His Majesty added.

The museum houses a broad collection of classic and rare vehicles and sports cars, including some personal vehicles of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. It also showcases cars used by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the late Sultan Said bin Taimour and the late Sayyid Tarik bin Taimour.
