Kings XI Punjab scored an eight-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders on October 26. A 100-run second wicket partnership between Mandeep Singh (66 not out) and the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle (51) helped the team chase the modest total of 150 easily.
The duo had stepped in after skipper KL Rahul fell leg before to Varun Chakravarthy for 28. Mandeep hit eight fours and two sixes while Gayle smashed five huge sixes.
Earlier, KKR had scored 149 for nine aided by an 81-run stand between opener Shubhman Gill (57) and captain Eoin Morgan (40). KKR was at 10 for three at one stage with Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi and Dinesh Karthik falling quickly.
Among KXIP bowlers, Mohammad Shami picked 3/35. Punjab is now at the fourth position in the IPL table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a stunning 88-run victory over Delhi Capitals in Dubai on October 27 night.

In reply, Delhi Capitals were bundled out for 131 as Rashid Khan took three wickets for 7 runs in four overs. The wickets of openers Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer were claimed by Khan in an over. Sandeep Sharma (2/27) and T. Natarajan (2/26) got two wickets each.
