Muscat : In a move aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and the nation’s broader sustainability goals, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially banned the use of single-use plastic water bottles across all its buildings.
The initiative, implemented starting today, aims to reduce plastic waste and support environmental conservation efforts. As part of the new policy, single-use bottles will be replaced with refillable alternatives and eco-friendly glass containers.
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed its commitment to “a clean environment that preserves human health,” noting that the decision reflects Oman’s vision for a sustainable future free of plastic pollution. This step marks a significant contribution toward promoting responsible resource use and supporting nationwide environmental initiatives.
