Oman’s Foreign Minister meets his Uzbek counterpart in Tashkent

MSUCAT : This meeting is part of H.E. Sayyid Badr’s official visit to Uzbekistan, which is aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

During the meeting, the two ministers engaged in discussions focused on deepening cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, education, culture, tourism, and renewable energy. Both sides emphasised the strength of the relationship between Oman and Uzbekistan and expressed their shared desire to further strengthen ties in these vital areas.

The two sides also explored opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure and logistics to enhance economic partnership and achieve common interests. They discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, noting the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination to support stability and security and achieve sustainable development for all.

The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Wafa bint Jabr Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a number of officials from both sides.
