Oman heats up as temperatures climb to 43.8°C in Sohar

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reported a sharp rise in temperatures across the Sultanate on Friday, April 18, 2025. Sohar recorded the highest temperature of the day at 43.8°C, marking one of the hottest days of the year so far.

Fahud followed closely with 42.7°C, while Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan and Sur each reported 41.2°C. Other areas like Al Awabi and Samail also crossed the 41°C mark. Even coastal cities like Muscat and Bahla weren’t spared, both registering 40.9°C.

The trend highlights the onset of summer conditions in Oman, with inland and coastal regions alike experiencing sweltering heat.
