MUSCAT : The Municipality regularly conducts comprehensive traffic studies to monitor the performance of the road network and address ongoing transportation challenges. The third edition of this study, awarded to the international consulting firm Dar Al-Handasah, will span 433 days.
This extensive study will involve a thorough analysis of various aspects of Muscat’s traffic system. Muscat Municipality regularly undertakes these in-depth assessments to:
- Monitor and assess current traffic conditions
- Evaluate traffic-generating areas related to urban expansion and economic activity
- Identify congestion points and propose effective solutions
- Integrate traffic solutions into short-, medium-, and long-term development plans to reduce congestion
This initiative is a key part of Muscat Municipality’s efforts to improve traffic management and ensure a smoother, more efficient transportation system for the city’s growing population.
