Flipkart donates Rs.3 crore worth of PPE kits to Government of Kerala

Flipkart today (25th Sept 2020) handed over PPE kits (Personal Protection Equipment) valued over 3 crores as their Corporate Responsible Citizen initiative through GiveIndia, as a mark of its commitment to help fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.

The ceremonial handover was done virtually in the presence of K K Shailaja Teacher, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Department of Health, Government of Kerala, Kerala Government and Kadakampally Surendran Hon’ble Minister for Co-operation, Tourism and Devaswom, Government of Kerala. Mr Kalyan K, Mr Dhiraj Kapur, Vice President Government Affairs at Flipkart, Mr Rajneesh, Mr Neil Christopher Castelino, Mr Giridhar P (Corporate Affairs & Govt Relations Team South India), Ms Sarah Vanita Gideon, Mr Mahesh from Flipkart was also part of the occasion through the virutally held Zoom web video call. Mr Saju Soman Managing Director, Lifeart Group has initiated and coordinated the meetings between the Govt of Kerala and the e-commerce gaint Flipkart along with Pradeep Kannamoola Astrologer, Mr Nelvin Joseph, Senior Vice President Zebpay, Mr Ansen. Flipkart Kerala Head Mr Anoop Nair and Flipkart HR Head Mr Jolly P J joined the occasion and handed over the contribution to the Government for Flipkart Management.

The contribution of 50,000 PPE Kits and shoe covers along with 20,000 N95 masks, will be utilised by the State Health Department in providing vital protective equipment to frontline health workers of Kerala.
