Dubai : Emirates Airline has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Tehran until July 5, citing ongoing regional safety concerns. The decision follows heightened instability in the Middle East, which recently prompted the airline to reroute several flights on June 23 as a precautionary measure.
In line with the suspension, passengers traveling to Iran via Dubai will also not be accepted for transit from their point of origin until further notice, the airline confirmed.
In contrast, Emirates is preparing to resume services to Iraq next week. Flights to Baghdad will restart on July 1, followed by Basra on July 2. Passengers with connections to Iraq through Dubai will be allowed to continue their journeys as scheduled.
The disruption comes amid escalating tensions in the region, particularly after a series of incidents in June involving Israel and Iran, which led to sporadic interruptions in air travel across the Middle East.
Emirates has reiterated that passenger safety remains its top priority and that it continues to monitor the situation closely in coordination with relevant authorities.
