Carrefour stops operations in Oman

MUSCAT: Carrefour, operated in the Middle East by UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim, issued a heartfelt farewell to its Omani customers in an official notice, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support over the years.

The French retailer’s exit marks the end of an era in Oman’s retail landscape. “On behalf of Carrefour management and employees, we extend our sincere gratitude for your continuous support over the past decades,” the notice read.

Sources confirm that Majid Al Futtaim plans to replace Carrefour with a new brand, Hypermax, signaling a fresh chapter for the company in Oman.
