Sameera Reddy, the yesteryear Bollywood starlet might be now away from the silver screen, but that is not hindering her from inspiring people who badly need positivity in their lives. Recently, the actress appeared in a video with absolutely no makeup, and that too in a salt and pepper look. It should be noted that Sameera did this in an industry where glamor and blitz are always given top preference.

In the video, Sameera Reddy talked about the beauty standards prevalent in society. The actress also added that her video could add up positivity in the lives of people, as it will help them to gain self-esteem.

“No tricks no make up just me! #imperfectlyperfect I had a message from a mom who says she feels ‘fat’ ‘ugly’ and ‘not beautiful’ with her post-baby fat. She said she looked at me and felt dejected. OMG!!! So here are my morning swelling eyes. No tricks no make up just me owning it! And I’m hoping that this enforces a positive spin on our own expectations of ourselves. I feel coming back to the public view in a way that I feel no pressure for my own mental health has helped me stay focused on being a good mother and a person who is self-accepting that makes it a healthier space for all around me. Don’t dwell on what you are not and what you don’t have! Let’s focus on the good we are all #imperfectlyperfect #loveyourself #justthewayyouare #keepingitreal,” Sameera captioned the video.

In the clip, Sameera Reddy also talked about the struggle she had gone through for her weight and skin color. She also revealed the comparisons she faced when she started climbing the stairs of stardom.

This new video of Sameera is now receiving positive responses from all corners, and people are praising the actress for her amazing gesture. The actress is now currently enjoying the lockdown period with her husband Akshai Varde and their two young children Hans Varde and Nyra Varde.

A few weeks back, in a television program, Mollywood actress Nimisha Sajayan had also revealed that she does not wish to appear in public with makeup. The comments from the actress literally shocked the host of the show, who is also a yesteryear actress. Despite repeated efforts from the host to make Nimisha understand the vitality of makeup, the Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum actress strongly defended her views and made it clear that makeup is not essential to portray talent anywhere.
