Belavia to launch first direct tourist flights from Belarus to Oman next week

Muscat : The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved the service, reinforcing efforts to strengthen Oman’s tourism sector.

In its first phase, Belavia will conduct four flights to Salalah until the end of March 2025, using a Boeing B737-800 with 189 seats. Plans are underway for continued operations in summer 2026, bringing the total number of flights to 16 over the two phases.
Dr. Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthy, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Oman, highlighted that the flights stem from strengthened bilateral relations, following the official visit of the Belarusian President to Oman. He noted that both countries are focusing on clean energy, tourism, education, healthcare, technology, and logistics as key sectors for deeper cooperation.
Al Harthy also pointed out that Belarusian citizens now enjoy visa-free entry to Oman for up to 14 days, easing travel and economic exchange between the two nations.

Plans are also in progress to introduce direct flights between Muscat and Minsk, aiming to expand investment and trade opportunities. Al Harthy emphasized that sectors like agriculture, industry, technology, and food security offer promising prospects for strategic partnerships, paving the way for economic growth in both countries.
