Abu Dhabi Shuts Down Three Food Outlets Over Repeated Safety Violations

Abu Dhabi : The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of three food establishments — two in the capital and one in Al Ain — due to repeated violations of food safety regulations and persistent non-compliance.

In a statement issued by the authority, ADAFSA said the closures were carried out under the provisions of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in Abu Dhabi, following inspections that identified the businesses as posing a “serious risk to public health.”

The shuttered establishments include:

  • Chettinadu Multi-Cuisine Restaurant LLC (License CN-1070357) in Abu Dhabi
  • Nasaem Al Nile Pastries and Sweets (License CN-4472448) in the Al Jimi area of Al Ain
  • Diamond City Supermarket (License CN-1247285) in the Mussafah district of Abu Dhabi

According to ADAFSA’s food control reports, all three businesses had repeatedly violated food safety protocols, failing to correct issues despite receiving prior warnings and opportunities for remediation.

“These closures are precautionary measures taken to safeguard consumer health,” the authority stated. “They will remain in effect until all violations are addressed and full compliance with regulatory standards is achieved.”

ADAFSA also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any food safety concerns or violations by contacting the Abu Dhabi Government Call Center at 800555.
