Minsk : The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare. The agreement was formalized in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, by Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Oman’s Minister of Health, and Alexander Khodzhayev, Minister of Health of Belarus.
The MoU covers a broad range of collaboration areas, including:
- Healthcare service development
- Medical education and training
- Joint professional development programs
- Exchange of expertise and best practices
- Collaborative medical research
- Mutual access to pharmaceuticals and medical equipment
- Reciprocal training programs and expert visits
This partnership is expected to strengthen both countries’ healthcare systems through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and expanded access to medical innovations and technologies.
Visit to Minskintercaps Pharmaceutical Facility
As part of the official visit, Dr. Al Sabti toured the facilities of Minskintercaps, a subsidiary of the Belpharmprom Group, where he received a comprehensive briefing on Belarus’ healthcare infrastructure, pharmaceutical production capabilities, and the company’s operations in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
This engagement further highlighted opportunities for collaboration in pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, with the potential to foster deeper partnerships between the two nations in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
