1,792 people confirmed with COVID-19 on March 14

COVID-19 has been confirmed for 1,792 people in Kerala on March 14. The district-wise break-up of the infected are Kozhikode 288, Kollam 188, Kottayam 161, Thiruvananthapuram 161, Kannur 151, Malappuram 151, Pathanamthitta 137, Ernakulam 132, Alappuzha 112, Thrissur 108, Kasaragod 65, Idukki 59, Wayanad 40 and Palakkad 39.
No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Kovid-19 has so far been confirmed by 103 people from the UK (99), South Africa (3) and Brazil (1). Of these, 89 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.
A total of 50,565 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 3.54. A total of 1,22,91,194 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.
It has been confirmed that 15 deaths in the last few days are due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,396.
Forty-three of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state and 1,597 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 143 is not clear. Kozhikode 275, Kollam 186, Kottayam 147, Thiruvananthapuram 109, Kannur 113, Malappuram 137, Pathanamthitta 123, Ernakulam 122, Alappuzha 108, Thrissur 103, Kasaragod 63, Idukki 56, Wayanad 38 and Palakkad 17 were affected by the disease.

Nine health workers were affected. Malappuram 3, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur 2, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam 1 each were affected by the disease.
The test results of 3238 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 166, Kollam 751, Pathanamthitta 230, Alappuzha 213, Kottayam 169, Idukki 44, Ernakulam 425, Thrissur 243, Palakkad 158, Malappuram 167, Kozhikode 404, Wayanad 59, Kannur 90 and Kasaragod 119 were tested negative today. With this, 29,478 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,57,097 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.
There are currently 1,50,312 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,45,982 are under home / institutional quarantine and 4,330 in hospitals. A total of 472 people were admitted to the hospital today.
There is new hotspot and no area is excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 351 hotspots.
