The 10th edition of HALF to be held at September 12 and 13

The International Haiku Amateur Little Film Festival (HALF) organised by Insight the creative group, is to be held on September 12 and 13.  As the closing date comes near, the festival is getting thousands of submissions.
K.V. Vincent, Festival Director said that if the COVID-19 prevails, the screening ,discussions and meetings will be done virtually.

Insight is a collective of creative artists, based in Palakkad, who believes in the humongous potential of the short film as a medium of communication and as a tool of creativity. Haiku is a name originated in Japan, which means short poems. However in Insight’s context, it is defined as any short form of aesthetic creativity.

The organisers said that the  souvenirs of the short film festival conducted in 2019 will be available on their website as they were not able to distribute it due covid-19 pandemic.

First 500 movies will be screened which will be followed by an open discussion forum. The Golden Screen will be awarded Rs 50,000 and trophy crafted by popular artist V K Rajan.

Those interested can submit their short films in a C.D through post or through online. The short film should be 5 minutes long. The last date for the entry is July 30.
