Suriya and Gautham Menon unites after a long hiatus

Suriya and Gautham Menon were once the most celebrated actor-director duo in Kollywood. The duo had delivered some mammoth hits in the past, and Gautham Menon movies have played a crucial role in elevating the star power of Suriya in South India.

It was long back in 2008 that Suriya and Gautham Menon worked together in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’. The film reshaped Suriya’s career, but soon, the actor started doing movies that make use of his stardom.

And now, recent reports suggest that Suriya and Gautham Menon are reuniting after a hiatus for a web movie. Titled ‘Navarasa’, this anthology movie is backed by Mani Ratnam, Jayendra Panchapakesan for Netflix.

Acclaimed cinematographer PC Sreeram is handling the cinematography of this film. In a recent Twitter post, Sreeram shared his excitement working with Suriya and Gautham Menon.

Suriya is currently enjoying the success of his recent movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which is receiving unanimously positive reviews from all corners. The film directed by Sudha Kongara had its premiere on Amazon Prime.

On the other hand, Gautham Menon’s big-budget movie ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, starring Chiyaan Vikram is also gearing up for release. The film was originally scheduled to have its theatrical release in August 2017, but the movie was delayed for multifarious reasons. Recent reports suggest that the film may have an OTT release.
