Salman Khan gets relief in Blackbuck poaching case, thanks fans

Bollywood star Salman Khan got relief in the blackbuck poaching case on Thursday. The Jodhpur District and Session Court dismissed Rajasthan government’s accusation against the actor of submitting a false affidavit regarding his arms licence in 2003.

After getting relief in the blackbuck case Salman Khan extended his vote of thanks to fans for supporting and loving him thoughout his tough days.

The actor took to his social media accounts and shared photo of himself and wrote, “”To all my fans.. thank u for your love support n concern. Khayal rakho apna n parivaar ka (Take care of yourself and your family). God bless n loveee u tooo (sic).”

Soon after, the fans of the actor showered their love on him in comment section. The post soon garnered one million likes.

Salman Khan was arrested in 1998 for hunting two blackbucks in a village near Jodhpur, where he was shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Saath Saath Hai. A case under the Arms Acts was registered against him, and the court had demanded the submission of his arms licence. However, in 2003, he told the court that his licence had gone missing. The prosecution had argued that he had submitted a false affidavit as his licence was not lost but submitted for renewal.

This is the second time that the actor has been freed from the allegation. Earlier, the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate had also absolved him of the charge, after which the state had challenged the decision in the District and Sessions court. On Tuesday, Salman Khan reportedly apologised for submitting a false affidavit to the Jodhpur session court in 2003.
