The district-wise break-up of the number of infected are Malappuram 4,774, Ernakulam 4,514, Kozhikode 3,927, Thiruvananthapuram 3,700, Thrissur 3,282, Palakkad 2,959, Kollam 2,888, Kottayam 2,566, Alappuzha 2,460, Kannur 2,085, Pathanamthitta 1,224, Idukki 1,056, Kasaragod 963 and Wayanad 892.</p>
<p>During the last 24 hours, 1,39,287 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 26.77. A total of 1,72,72,376 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has been confirmed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 125 people from the UK (115), South Africa (9) and Brazil (1). Of these, 123 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed today that 79 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 5958.</p>
<p>Today, 215 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 34,256 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 2676 is not clear. Malappuram 4,580, Ernakulam 4,340, Kozhikode 3,836, Thiruvananthapuram 3,287, Thrissur 3,257, Palakkad 1,330, Kollam 2,875, Kottayam 2,369, Alappuzha 2,451, Kannur 1,906, Pathanamthitta 1,188, Idukki 1,035, Kasaragod 931 and Wayanad 871 were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>A total of 143 health workers were affected by the disease. Kannur 50, Kasaragod 18, Ernakulam 14, Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad 10 each, Thrissur, Wayanad 9 each, Kollam 7, Kozhikode 6, Pathanamthitta 5, Kottayam 3, Alappuzha and Malappuram 1 each were affected.</p>
<p>Of those diagnosed and treated, 32,978 recovered. Thiruvananthapuram 2831, Kollam 1927, Pathanamthitta 953, Alappuzha 1708, Kottayam 1975, Idukki 1164, Ernakulam 5200, Thrissur 2161, Palakkad 3620, Malappuram 3877, Kozhikode 4890, Wayanad 645, Kannur 1917 and Kasaragod 110 were cured. With this, 4,23,957 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 15,37,138 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.</p>
<p>There are currently 9,93,313 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 9,59,164 are under home / institutional quarantine and 34,149 are in hospitals. About 4007 people were newly admitted to the hospital.</p>
<p>Today there are 12 new hotspots. No area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 810 hotspots.</p>

<p>A total of 99,748 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 27.56. A total of 1,71,33,089 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 125 people from the UK (115), South Africa (9) and Brazil (1). Of these, 122 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed today that 65 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 5879.</p>

<p>One hundred and fourteen health workers were affected by the disease. Health workers from Kannur 45, Ernakulam 14, Thiruvananthapuram 12, Kasaragod 11, Thrissur 9, Wayanad 7, Kollam, Palakkad 5, Pathanamthitta 4 and Malappuram 2 were affected.</p>
<p>A total of 31,209 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2696, Kollam 2280, Pathanamthitta 431, Alappuzha 2071, Kottayam 2054, Idukki 376, Ernakulam 3999, Thrissur 2076, Palakkad 3526, Malappuram 3694, Kozhikode 4995, Wayanad 383, Kannur 1803 and Kasaragod 825 were cured. With this, 4,19,726 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 15,04,160 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.</p>
<p>There are currently 9,89,991 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 9,56,932 are under home / institutional quarantine and 33,059 in hospitals. 3580 people were newly admitted to the hospital.</p>
<p>Today there are two new hotspots and no area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 798 hotspots.</p>

As part of the second phase of the test, 2,90,262 samples were collected from different parts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday. Of these, 1,30,617 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 21.78. A total of 1,48,58,794 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 116 people from the UK (108), South Africa (7) and Brazil (1). Of these, 112 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />

The disease affected 73 health workers. Thiruvananthapuram 13, Kannur 12, Thrissur 11, Wayanad 9, Kasaragod 7, Kollam, Kozhikode 6 each, Ernakulam, Palakkad 3 each, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki 1 each were affected by the disease.<br />
The test results of 5,663 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 711, Kollam 158, Pathanamthitta 153, Alappuzha 127, Kottayam 538, Idukki 227, Ernakulam 572, Thrissur 614, Palakkad 221, Malappuram 529, Kozhikode 1012, Wayanad 219, Kannur 335 and Kasaragod 247 were found to be negative today. With this, 1,78,983 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 11,66,135 have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 3,91,463 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,74,464 are under home / institutional quarantine and 16,999 in hospitals. A total of 3,609 people were admitted to hospitals today.<br />
Today there are 7 new hotspots and three areas were excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 523 hotspots.</p>

As part of the second phase of the test, 1,40,671 samples were collected on Wednesday from various parts of the State. Of these, 1,35,177 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 19.97. A total of 1,47,28,177 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 116 people from the UK (108), South Africa (7) and Brazil (1). Of these, 112 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />

Sixty-nine health workers were affected by the disease. Kottayam 14, Kannur 12, Thiruvananthapuram 11, Thrissur, Wayanad 7, Kollam 5, Kasaragod 4, Palakkad, Kozhikode 3, Ernakulam 2 and Idukki 1 were affected.<br />
The test results of 6,370 patients who were diagnosed with the disease were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 490, Kollam 416, Pathanamthitta 182, Alappuzha 494, Kottayam 540, Idukki 129, Ernakulam 541, Thrissur 579, Palakkad 266, Malappuram 378, Kozhikode 1298, Wayanad 83, Kannur 390 and Kasaragod 584 were found to be negative today. With this, 1,56,226 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 11,60,472 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 3,55,209 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,39,418 are under home / institutional quarantine and 15,791 in hospitals. A total of 3161 people were admitted to the hospital today.<br />
Today there are 13 new hotspots and one area was excluded from hotspot list. There are currently a total of 520 hotspots.</p>

The district-wise break-up of the infected are Kozhikode 403, Kannur 285, Ernakulam 220, Malappuram 207, Thrissur 176, Kasaragod 163, Thiruvananthapuram 147, Kottayam 139, Kollam 127, Alappuzha 93, Pathanamthitta 82, Wayanad 64, Palakkad 63 and Idukki 47.<br />
One person from the UK confirmed COVID-19 within the last 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed for 109 people from the UK (103), South Africa (5) and Brazil (1). Of these, 101 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />
During the last 24 hours, 47,229 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 4.69. A total of 1,30,13,503 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
It has been confirmed today that 12 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,579.<br />
Today, 92 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside Kerala and 1,931 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 170 is not clear. Kozhikode 389, Kannur 192, Ernakulam 208, Malappuram 202, Thrissur 172, Kasaragod 136, Thiruvananthapuram 91, Kottayam 124, Kollam 119, Alappuzha 92, Pathanamthitta 72, Wayanad 61, Palakkad 28 and Idukki 45 were affected by contact.<br />
Twenty-three health workers were affected by the disease. Kasaragod 12, Ernakulam 4, Kannur 3, Kozhikode 2, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur 1 health workers were affected.<br />
The test results of 1,853 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 174, Kollam 148, Pathanamthitta 139, Alappuzha 45, Kottayam 122, Idukki 25, Ernakulam 326, Thrissur 155, Palakkad 85, Malappuram 166, Kozhikode 257, Wayanad 35, Kannur 140 and Kasaragod 36 had negative results today. With this, 24,582 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,88,522 people have so far been freed from Kovid.<br />
There are currently 1,29,264 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,25,392 are under home / institutional quarantine and 3,872 in hospitals. A total of 524 people were admitted to hospitals today.<br />
Today there are two new hotspots and no area is excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 357 hotspots.</p>

No one from the UK, South Africa or Brazil has confirmed COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 108 people from the UK (102), South Africa (5) and Brazil (1). Of these, 101 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />
A total of 52,252 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 3.49. A total of 1,29,13,986 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
Today, it has been confirmed that 14 deaths in the last few days are due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,553.<br />
Seventy-one of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 1,612 people were infected through contact. Contact sources for 130 are not clear. Kozhikode 251, Kannur 191, Kollam 171, Ernakulam 165, Thiruvananthapuram 106, Thrissur 131, Alappuzha 115, Kottayam 97, Kasaragod 91, Malappuram 98, Pathanamthitta 76, Palakkad 27, Idukki 57 and Wayanad 36 were affected by contact.<br />
Twelve health workers were affected. Health workers from Kannur 6, Kottayam, Kozhikode and Kasaragod 2 each contracted the disease.<br />
The test results of 1917 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 128, Kollam 155, Pathanamthitta 114, Alappuzha 95, Kottayam 145, Idukki 58, Ernakulam 326, Thrissur 139, Palakkad 74, Malappuram 220, Kozhikode 243, Wayanad 32, Kannur 140 and Kasaragod 48 were found to be negative today. With this, 24,274 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,84,585 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 1,27,542 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 1,23,751 are under home / institutional quarantine and 3791 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 519 people were admitted to hospitals today.<br />
Today there is a new hot spot and no area has been excluded from the hotspot list. There are currently a total of 354 hotspots.</p>

<p>COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 99 people from the UK (98) and South Africa (1). Of these, 83 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>A total of 66,103 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 4.20. A total of 1,17,79,163 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed that 16 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,271.</p>
<p>Sixty-six of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 2,504 people were infected through contact. The contact source of 196 people is not clear. <p>Ten health workers were affected by the disease. Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kannur 2 each, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Idukki and Kasaragod 1 each were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>The test results of 3638 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 337, Kollam 156, Pathanamthitta 388, Alappuzha 307, Kottayam 313, Idukki 75, Ernakulam 561, Thrissur 308, Palakkad 131, Malappuram 196, Kozhikode 377, Wayanad 117, Kannur 223 and Kasaragod 149 had negative results. With this, 43,562 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,24,309 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 1,80,107 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 1,73,736 are under home / institutional quarantine and 6,371 are under hospital surveillance. About 660 people were admitted to hospitals.</p>

COVID-19 was confirmed within the last 24 hours for a man from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 82 people who recently came from the UK. Of these, 70 tested negative. A total of 10 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>During the last 24 hours, 74,408 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 7.25. Routine sample, Sentinel sample, CBNAT, TRUNAT, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 1,04,40,267 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed that 18 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,954. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.<br />

<p>The test results of 5332 people who were diagnosed with the disease were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 424, Kollam 306, Pathanamthitta 568, Alappuzha 356, Kottayam 374, Idukki 293, Ernakulam 743, Thrissur 414, Palakkad 153, Malappuram 424, Kozhikode 604, Wayanad 198, Kannur 405 and Kasaragod 70 were found to be negative today. With this, 63,961 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 9,25,871 have so far been freed from COVID-19.</p>

COVID-19 was confirmed within the last 24 hours for a man from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed for 77 people who recently arrived from the UK. Of these, 56 tested negative. A total of 10 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />
During the last 24 hours, 48,118 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 10.94. A total of 96,25,913 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
It has been confirmed that 21 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3743. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.<br />

Thiruvananthapuram 382, Kollam 306, Pathanamthitta 402, Alappuzha 471, Kottayam 424, Idukki 354, Ernakulam 725, Thrissur 484, Palakkad 429, Malappuram 387, Kozhikode 790, Wayanad 287, Kannur 197 and Kasaragod 92 were negative today. With this, 70,983 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 8,54,206 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />

<p>COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 71 people who recently came from the UK. Of these, 45 tested negative. A total of 10 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>A total of 51,130 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 11.07. A total of 94,00,749 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed on January 27 that 20 deaths in the last few days were due to Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 3663. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.</p>
<p>Seventy-seven of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 5,146 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 393 is not clear. The worst affected areas are Ernakulam 832, Kozhikode 734, Kottayam 460, Kollam 475, Malappuram 392, Pathanamthitta 350, Alappuzha 355, Kannur 270, Thiruvananthapuram 250, Thrissur 327, Idukki 293, Wayanad 232, Palakkad 99 and Kasaragod 77.</p>
<p>Forty-three health workers were affected by the disease. Kannur 23, Ernakulam 6, Kozhikode 4, Kollam 3, Thiruvananthapuram, Wayanad 2 each, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad and Kasaragod 1 each were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>The test results of 5,006 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 354, Kollam 195, Pathanamthitta 705, Alappuzha 299, Kottayam 288, Idukki 377, Ernakulam 739, Thrissur 428, Palakkad 175, Malappuram 530, Kozhikode 594, Wayanad 69, Kannur 206 and Kasaragod 47 were found to be negative today. With this, 72,234 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 8,29,452 have so far been freed from COVID-19.</p>
<p>There are currently 2,14,315 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,02,196 are under home / institutional quarantine and 12,119 in hospitals. A total of 1269 people were admitted to the hospital.</p>
<p>There are four new hotspots. The new hotspots are Polpulli (Containment sub ward 13) in Palakkad district, Ayavana (sub ward 13) in Ernakulam district, Thiruvankulam (23) and Pattithara (4) in Palakkad district. COVID-19 was confirmed within the last 24 hours by a man from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 70 people who recently came from the UK. Of these, 45 tested negative. A total of 10 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>A total of 30,903 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 10.88. A total of 92,89,304 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
It has been confirmed that 17 deaths in the last few days have been caused by COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,624. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.</p>
<p>Seventy-three of the confirmed cases are from outside the State and  2,969 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 276 is not clear. The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 468, Kozhikode 418, Kollam 395, Thiruvananthapuram 223, Kottayam 278, Thrissur 289, Alappuzha 260, Malappuram 212, Palakkad 84, Idukki 108, Pathanamthitta 105, Kannur 68, Wayanad 58 and Kasaragod 3.</p>
<p>Forty-three health workers were affected by the disease. Health workers from Kannur 18, Kozhikode 6, Ernakulam 5, Thiruvananthapuram 4, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad 2 each, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Malappuram 1 each were affected.<br />
The test results of 5,606 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 202, Kollam 1814, Pathanamthitta 253, Alappuzha 487, Kottayam 439, Idukki 357, Ernakulam 616, Thrissur 222, Palakkad 145, Malappuram 383, Kozhikode 390, Wayanad 63, Kannur 191 and Kasaragod 44 were found to be negative today. <p>A person from the UK has been confirmed to have a genetically modified virus. The genetic variant of the virus was confirmed on a native of Kannur (34). The virus was detected in a sample sent to IGIB. With this, the genetically modified virus was detected in a total of 10 people.</p>
<p>COVID-19 was confirmed within the last 24 hours on two people from the UK. With this, COVID-19 has so far been confirmed by 68 people who recently came from the UK. Of these, 41 tested negative.</p>
<p>During the last 24 hours, 58,057 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 11.63. A total of 91,48,957 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed that 19 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3564. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.</p>

The district-wise break-up of the number of infected are Ernakulam 813, Kottayam 709, Kozhikode 566, Pathanamthitta 482, Thrissur 479, Kollam 447, Malappuram 400, Thiruvananthapuram 350, Alappuzha 349, Kannur 273, Wayanad 207, Palakkad 201, Idukki 173 and Kasaragod 58.</p>
<p>COVID-19 was confirmed within the last 24 hours for a man from the United Kingdom. It has so far been confirmed by 55 people who recently came from the UK. Their samples have been sent to NIV Pune for further testing. A total of six people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.<br />
During the last 24 hours, 64,614 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 8.52. A total of 85,51,792 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>It has been confirmed that 25 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3347. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.</p>
<p>Fifty-three of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 4,952 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 433 is not clear. Ernakulam 733, Kottayam 638, Kozhikode 550, Pathanamthitta 414, Thrissur 464, Kollam 444, Malappuram 385, Thiruvananthapuram 249, Alappuzha 341, Kannur 229, Wayanad 193, Palakkad 91, Idukki 167 and Kasaragod 54 were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>Sisty-nine health workers were affected by the disease. Pathanamthitta 22, Ernakulam 10, Kozhikode 9, Kannur 8, Thrissur 7, Palakkad 4, Thiruvananthapuram, Wayanad, Kasaragod 2, Kollam, Alappuzha and Kottayam 1 each were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>The test results of 4,270 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 298, Kollam 277, Pathanamthitta 320, Alappuzha 175, Kottayam 850, Idukki 74, Ernakulam 516, Thrissur 432, Palakkad 227, Malappuram 297, Kozhikode 425, Wayanad 110, Kannur 201 and Kasaragod 68 were found negative today. With this, 64,556 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 7,51,659 have so far been freed from COVID-19.</p>
<p>There are currently 1,99,519 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,88,973 are under home / institutional quarantine and 10,546 in hospitals. A total of 1130 people were admitted to hospitals.</p>

<p>There is a new hot spot, Enadimangalam (Continent Zone Sub Ward 12) in Pathanamthitta district. Five areas were excluded from the hotspot list. With this, there are currently a total of 436 hotspots.</p>

COVID-19 has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours by anyone from the UK. It has so far been confirmed by 50 people who recently came from the UK. Their samples have been sent to NIV Pune for further testing. A total of six people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.</p>
<p>A total of 61,239 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is 9.03. A total of 84,06,202 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
It has been confirmed that 22 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,279. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.<br />
Sixty of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 4,988 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 435 is not clear. Ernakulam 812, Kozhikode 577, Kottayam 539, Malappuram 506, Kollam 474, Pathanamthitta 405, Thrissur 393, Thiruvananthapuram 242, Alappuzha 308, Idukki 211, Palakkad 82, Wayanad 200, Kannur 151 and Kasaragod 88 were affected by the disease.<br />
Forty-five health workers were affected. Ernakulam 12, Thiruvananthapuram 6, Pathanamthitta, Kannur 5 each, Thrissur, Wayanad 4 each, Palakkad, Kozhikode 3 each, Kollam, Malappuram and Kasaragod 1 each.<br />
The test results of 5424 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 352, Kollam 684, Pathanamthitta 294, Alappuzha 302, Kottayam 920, Idukki 70, Ernakulam 761, Thrissur 403, Palakkad 179, Malappuram 478, Kozhikode 562, Wayanad 139, Kannur 220 and Kasaragod 60 had negative results today. With this, 64,318 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 7,38,808 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 2,02,171 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,91,116 are under home / institutional quarantine and 11,055 in hospitals. A total of 1,268 people were admitted to hospitals.</p>
<p>There are three new hotspots. The new hotspots are Aranmula (Cantonment Zone Wards 6, 13), Nedumbaram (5) in Pathanamthitta district and Vorkadi (1) in Kasaragod district.<br />
Five areas were excluded from the hotspot list. With this, there are currently a total of 438 hotspots.</p>

<p>The disease affected 44 health workers. Pathanamthitta 8, Thrissur, Kozhikode 6 each, Ernakulam 5, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur 4 each, Malappuram 3, Kollam, Wayanad, Kasaragod 2 each, Kottayam and Palakkad 1 each were affected by the disease.<br />
The test results of 4,922 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 284, Kollam 283, Pathanamthitta 327, Alappuzha 304, Kottayam 707, Idukki 140, Ernakulam 401, Thrissur 520, Palakkad 251, Malappuram 495, Kozhikode 655, Wayanad 171, Kannur 341 and Kasaragod 43 were found to be negative today. With this, 63,802 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 7,17,311 have so far been freed from Kovid.</p>
<p>There are currently 1,90,990 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 1,79,868 are under home / institutional quarantine and 11,122 in hospitals. A total of 1,082 people were admitted to hospitals.</p>
<p>There are four new hotspots. The new hotspots are Adimali in Idukki district (Cantonment zone sub ward 1), Pandanad (sub ward 12) in Alappuzha district, Muriyad (7) in Thrissur district and Puthige (8) in Kasaragod district.<br />
Six areas were excluded from the hotspot. With this, there are currently a total of 445 hotspots.</p>

<p>The infection has not been confirmed in the last 24 hours on anyone from the UK. COVID-19 has so far been confirmed for 37 people who recently came from the UK. Their samples have been sent to NIV Pune for further testing. The result of 11 of them came. No genetically modified virus was found in it.<br />
During the last 24 hours, 54,098 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 9.85. A total of 80,18,822 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.<br />
It has been confirmed that 21 deaths in the last few days were due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,116. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.<br />
Seventy-eight of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 4,801 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 392 is not clear. Ernakulam 691, Kozhikode 578, Malappuram 547, Kottayam 501, Pathanamthitta 386, Thrissur 398, Kollam 376, Alappuzha 372, Thiruvananthapuram 202, Palakkad 124, Idukki 217, Wayanad 191, Kannur 149 and Kasaragod 69 were affected by the disease.<br />
Fifty-seven health workers were affected by the disease. Ernakulam 14, Thrissur 8, Pathanamthitta 7, Kozhikode 5, Kollam, Kottayam, Kannur 4 each, Thiruvananthapuram 3, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kasaragod 2 each, Idukki and Malappuram 1 each were affected by the disease.<br />
The test results of 4,985 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 355, Kollam 361, Pathanamthitta 273, Alappuzha 346, Kottayam 893, Idukki 153, Ernakulam 552, Thrissur 418, Palakkad 274, Malappuram 457, Kozhikode 445, Wayanad 178, Kannur 219 and Kasaragod 61 were found to be negative. With this, 65,374 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 7,02,576 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.<br />
There are currently 2,40,490 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,28,679 are under home / institutional quarantine and 11,811 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 1,223 people were admitted to hospitals.<br />
There are six new hotspots. The new hotspots are Kattakada (Cantonment Zone Sub Ward 3), Pullampara (15), Tholikode (8), Enadimangalam (Sub Ward 14), Mullappuzhassery (Sub Ward 2) and Keerapara (Sub Ward 10) in Pathanamthitta District. Fourteen areas were excluded from the hotspot. With this, there are currently a total of 448 hotspots.</p>

The district-wise beak-up of the infected are Ernakulam 602, Malappuram 511, Pathanamthitta 493, Kottayam 477, Kozhikode 452, Thrissur 436, Kollam 417, Thiruvananthapuram 386, Alappuzha 364, Kannur 266, Palakkad 226, Wayanad 174, Idukki 107 and Kasaragod 80.</p>
<p>COVID-19 has so far been confirmed for 37 people who recently came from the UK. Their samples have been sent to NIV Pune for further testing. In the last 24 hours, 52,790 samples have been tested. A total of 79,64,724 samples have so far been sent for testing, including LAMP and antigen testing.</p>
<p>Twenty-three deaths in the last few days were confirmed as due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 3,095. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.</p>
<p>Ninety-four of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 4,413 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 425 is not clear. Ernakulam 553, Malappuram 459, Pathanamthitta 433, Kottayam 454, Kozhikode 425, Thrissur 421, Kollam 412, Thiruvananthapuram 248, Alappuzha 353, Kannur 202, Palakkad 120, Wayanad 163, Idukki 102 and Kasaragod 68 were affected by the disease.</p>
<p>Fifty-nine health workers were affected by the disease. Kannur 12, Pathanamthitta 9, Ernakulam, Kozhikode 6 each, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Malappuram 5 each, Wayanad 4, Kollam 3, Alappuzha, Idukki, Palakkad and Kasaragod 1 each.</p>
<p>The test results of 5111 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 357, Kollam 363, Pathanamthitta 255, Alappuzha 393, Kottayam 480, Idukki 144, Ernakulam 594, Thrissur 637, Palakkad 246, Malappuram 480, Kozhikode 707, Wayanad 214, Kannur 213 and Kasaragod 28 were found to be negative. With this, 65,054 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 6,97,591 people have so far been freed from  COVID-19.</p>
<p>There are currently 2,43,828 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,31,831 are under home / institutional quarantine and 11,997 in hospitals. A total of 1384 people were admitted to hospitals.<br />
There are two new hotspots. The new hotspots are Parappookkara (Cantonment Zone Ward 16) in Thrissur district and Mezhuveli (Sub Ward 8) in Pathanamthitta district. Four areas were excluded from the hotspot. With this, there are currently a total of 456 hotspots.</p>

<p>The test results of 5,707 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 392, Kollam 389, Pathanamthitta 243, Alappuzha 479, Kottayam 517, Idukki 222, Ernakulam 780, Thrissur 451, Palakkad 333, Malappuram 609, Kozhikode 718, Wayanad 217, Kannur 201 and Kasaragod 156 were found to be negative today. With this, 65,394 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 6,87,104 have so far been freed from COVID.</p>
<p>There were currently 2,47,725 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,35,609 are under home / institutional quarantine and 12,116 in hospitals. A total of 1426 people were admitted to hospitals.<br />
There are four new hotspots. The new hotspots are Puthur in Thrissur district (Cantonment zone ward 19), Chittaur (sub ward 1), Kozhencherry (sub ward 1) and Seethathodu (13) in Pathanamthitta district.
