Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt steal the show in Sadak 2

NIRMAL YESODA

After months of anxious wait, the trailer of Sadak 2 has been now released, and as expected, it has succeeded in impressing audiences and critics alike. This film is special for many reasons, and it includes Mahesh Bhatt’s return as a director after a hiatus of two decades. Mahesh’s previous movie as a director was the 1999 film Kartoos that starred Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles.

In the recently released trailer of Sadak 2, the makers introduce the characters of the movie to the audiences. Sanjay Dutt will be reprising the role of the taxi driver from the original 1991 release. Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen joining hands with Sanjay Dutt to fight against a common enemy, and this will be the major crux of the film.

The trailer of the film clearly indicates that Makarand Deshpande will be enacting the role of the lead antagonist in this flick. In the trailer, we can see him donning a completely different look, and it seems hard to identify the star in his new look.

The trailer of the film seems very different from other Mahesh Bhatt movies, as Sadak 2 promises to be a very stylish film, shot in exotic locales. Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt look stylish, while Aditya once again reprises that lover boy character. In all probabilities, Pooja Bhatt’s character might have died in this film, as in several scenes, Sanjay can be seen talking to her portrait.

Sadak 2 is produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The movie will have its premiere on 28 August 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar.
