Kannur: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ended his long silence over police restricting people from wearing black masks and dresses during public events. He said that the government does not intend to obstruct the movement and freedom of people. His remark comes amidst the protest against him over the allegation raised by Swapna Suresh, the prime accused in the gold smuggling case.
“Some people are carrying out fake campaigns by asserting that the government is obstructing their freedom. However, these campaigns aimed to tarnish the image of the government,” he said. He added that the state is progressive enough to understand that we don’t deny freedom of movement.
