Walmart bans couple for wearing Nazi masks, says incident was upsetting

Walmart, the American multinational retail giant has banned a couple for wearing Nazi flag face masks while entering their shop. The incident happened in a Walmart store, in Minnesota, and shop owners soon called police officials, as the duo entered the shop with a Nazi mask.

After seeing two people with Nazi flag face masks, onlookers in the shop started protesting, and they urged shop staffs to clear them out. They also asked the couple to remove the masks, but they refused to comply stating that it is their masks.

The woman who wore the mask revealed that she is not a Nazi, and made it clear that the act has been done as a symbolic protest against the anti-socialism activities in the United States.

Calling it an upsetting incident, Walmart officials revealed that the couple is now being banned from entering any Walmart shops for the next 12 months.

“What happened today at our store in Marshall, MN is unacceptable. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable shopping environment for all our customers and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any aspect of our business. We are asking everyone to wear face coverings when they enter our stores for their safety and the safety of others and it’s unfortunate that some individuals have taken this pandemic as an opportunity to create a distressing situation for customers and associates in our store,” said Walmart spokesperson in a statement.
