Vishal claims Ayurvedic medicines effective in COVID treatment, faces backlash

Nirmal Yesoda

Vishal, the young Superstar of Kollywood, has recently claimed to have treated and cured coronavirus infection using Ayurvedic medicines. Vishal and his father were tested positive for coronavirus around 20 days back.

Initially, Vishal’s father G.K. Reddy was contracted with the virus, and the actor was also infected as he took care of his dad. Vishal himself confirmed the news of recovering from the infection through his Facebook page.

“Yes it’s True, my dad was tested Positive, by helping him I had the same symptoms of High Temperature, Cold, Cough & was the same for my Manager. All of us took Ayurvedic Medicine & were out of Danger in a week’s time. We are now Hale & Healthy,” wrote Vishal on his Facebook page.

In the meantime, a section of social media users has started lashing out against Vishal for assuring the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicines in treating coronavirus, According to these skeptics, testimonials from personalities like coronavirus will compel people to treat the infection using traditional medicines, and sometimes, it may do more harm than good.

“Please don’t spread a rumour like this. I am not saying that ayurvedic medicine is wrong. But you can heal a COVID patient with ayurvedic medicine only he has good immunity and the COVID strain was less potent. It is not recommended for everyone,” commented Sinsha Samad, a Facebook user.

Vishal is currently awaiting the release of his new movie ‘Thupparivalan 2’. The film was originally planned with Mysskin in the role of the director, but due to financial issues, the filmmaker walked out of the issue. Later, Vishal himself donned the director’s cap. Apart from Vishal, this film also stars Prasanna, Nasser, Jayaprakash and Rehman in other prominent roles.
