The Consulate of India in Dubai has released a video explaining the themes, events and people that the country will showcase at its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is scheduled to be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

The Consulate released a YouTube video on Twitter, and said the India pavilion will showcase #IndiaAt75 [75 years of India’s independence] to the world. It will present a new and dynamic India with its never-ending opportunities. The video presented a three-dimensional architectural illustration and an artist’s impression of the entire pavilion.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi tweeted in Arabic that the pavilion “is a testament to the deepening of bilateral ties between India and the UAE and India’s growing international standing”.

The India pavilion will be a grand four-level structure divided into themed sections, and one of the few that will be retained after the event. It will showcase India’s “5 Ts — Talent, Trade, Tradition, Tourism and Technology”.

On the ground floor, visitors will get to see India’s growing prowess in space technologies and its plans for the future. The next section will give the ‘yoga and wellness story’, a legacy of India’s ancient civilisation.

In the first floor, visitors will witness the country’s art, culture and tourism landscapes. Successful expat ventures like Lulu and Aster are also featured. Mahatma Gandhi is displayed on the first two facades instead of at the entrance as was planned earlier.
