Web Desk

The UAE made history on June 17 with 3 million tests, ranking number one in screening per capita. On Wednesday alone, the UAE had carried out 39,000 tests across the nation. UAE’s approach on COVID-9 was praised for it’s inspirational measures and effective crisis management. The UAE reported 382 new cases of coronavirus infection, 676 recoveries and the death of two people, confirmed official spokesperson of the UAE Government.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi chose to test residents for coronavirus at their homes so as to restrain the spread of the coronavirus, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) reported. As part of the initiative the vulnerable residents and elderly citizens don’t have to visit screening centres.  Abu Dhabi has recently offered home testing for individuals with disabilities. The home screenings, which are a part of the National Screening Program for COVID-19, will be offered across various local areas. Testing will be done between 10am and 6pm.
