UAE Launches World’s First Postgraduate Programme in Luxury Private Aviation

Abu Dhabi: The UAE is cementing its position as a global hub for luxury private aviation with the launch of the world’s first postgraduate diploma in Private Aviation Management. The pioneering programme is a collaboration between Les Roches, a leading hospitality and leisure management school, and Jetex, a UAE-based global private aviation leader. The one-year Advanced Diploma in Private Aviation Management is set to commence in September 2025.

Designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the luxury aviation sector—projected to be worth $55.2 billion by 2031—the programme offers a globally immersive learning experience across three luxury destinations: Marbella (Spain), Crans-Montana (Switzerland), and Abu Dhabi (UAE), where classes will be held at the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches.

What the Programme Offers

The curriculum focuses on:

  • Global private aviation systems
  • Luxury client experience and hospitality
  • Aviation management and communication
  • Sustainable innovation in aviation

An essential feature is a guaranteed six-month internship with Jetex in the UAE during the second semester, offering real-world training in one of the world’s most advanced aviation markets.

Career Pathways

Graduates can pursue roles such as:

  • Guest Experience Executive
  • Crew Support Agent
  • Flight Coordinator

Top-performing students may be offered career placements with Jetex.

Admissions and Scholarships

Applications for the September 2025 intake are now open. Requirements include:

  • A university degree
  • Fluency in English
  • Age 30 or below
  • Interview with Jetex

Partial merit-based scholarships will be available for selected candidates. The programme is fully accredited by the Swiss Federal Government and the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) in the United States.

Industry Impact

Jetex CEO Adel Mardini hailed the programme as a “milestone for the industry,” aiming to develop a new generation of aviation professionals rooted in innovation, service excellence, and sustainability.

Carlos Díez de la Lastra, CEO of Les Roches, emphasized the programme’s international focus, saying: “By aligning our curriculum with market needs, we are preparing graduates to step directly into leadership roles in this fast-evolving sector.”

The launch comes as private aviation activity in the UAE hits new highs, with Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub reporting a 7% increase in private jet movements in 2024. The industry’s continued expansion highlights the need for specialized training and talent development.
