UAE Issues Fog Alert as Temperatures Soar to 47°C: Key Weather Updates

Dubai : The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow alert for fog, warning of significantly reduced horizontal visibility in several internal and coastal areas until 8:00 AM on Thursday. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously as visibility may deteriorate further during the early morning hours.

According to the NCM, Thursday’s weather will be generally fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds expected along the eastern coast.

Daytime temperatures will remain extremely high, with maximums forecasted as follows:

  • 43°C to 47°C in inland regions
  • 37°C to 41°C in coastal areas and islands
  • 34°C to 38°C in mountainous areas

Humidity is set to rise overnight into Friday morning, which may lead to the formation of fog or mist, especially over northern coastal and internal regions.

Winds will be light to moderate but may occasionally strengthen, stirring up dust and sand in western parts of the country.

Sea conditions:

  • Arabian Gulf: Moderate to rough
  • Oman Sea: Slight to moderate

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure during peak heat hours, and follow official weather updates for the latest alerts and safety guidelines.
