UAE confirms 7 US-sanctioned firms lack licences, do not operate locally

Abu Dhabi: Seven UAE-based entities, including Capital Tap Holding LLC and Horizon Advanced Solutions General Trading LLC, were subjected to US Sudan sanctions on January 7, 2025

Following the announcement, the UAE launched its own investigation into the entities and associated individuals, requesting further information from US authorities to support the probe.

The Ministry of Justice confirmed that none of the seven entities currently hold active business licences or operate within the UAE. Authorities continue to monitor for any suspicious activity in line with UAE laws and regulations.
