Triple lockdown comes into force in Kerala state capital

DGP Loknath Behra said that strict action will be taken against those who violate lockdown restrictions in Thiruvananthapuram. Only senior citizens and people who are in emergency situations can seek the help of police.

Only essential services will be allowed in the district. Travelling in vehicles will not be allowed. Shops can be opened from 7am to 11am. Only grocery, vegetable and fruit shops are allowed to open. People are asked to buy essentials from the nearest shops strictly maintaining social distancing.

The police force is not functioning as an online delivery system. The only number to be called to Police will be 94979 00999 Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran said the 10 popular hotels will be opened in the district with the help of Kudumbashree. Home delivery will be allowed from Kudumbashree hotels. KSRTC buses will be allowed for airport and railway duties, he added.
