MUSCAT : Starting February 15, 2025, all violations under the Land Transport Law will be integrated into the systems of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the Ministry of Labour. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure compliance and enhance regulatory oversight across the transport sector.
MTCIT has urged all beneficiaries of land transport services, including individuals and companies, to address any outstanding violations issued under Royal Decree No. 10/2016 and Executive Regulation No. 2/2018. Affected parties have been given a one-month grace period from the date of this announcement to settle their cases with the ministry.
Failure to comply could result in significant consequences, potentially affecting the violators’ commercial activities. Beneficiaries are advised to act promptly to avoid disruptions and ensure their operations remain unaffected.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving transparency and efficiency in Oman’s transport sector, aligning with broader efforts to modernize regulatory frameworks and enhance accountability.
